A little bit of this and that!

2006.... the year that was.....

I sit here and I think about everything that has happened in 2006. It has been a full on but amazing year. There have been some sad times here and there but for most part I have had a fantastic year.
The boys have grown up so much in the last year. Now with my baby Jack at school it seems so long ago that he was small and helpless. Now he is this little Mr Independent.... LOL... but still a Mummy's boy at heart. Well for a little while longer at least. Ben has come along as well and soon I just know that it is so not going to be cool to hang out with your Mum. Makes me sad... but happy and proud of him at the same time. He is cool.... he is kind, gentle and everything that you would hope in a child.
Andrew has had a busy year at work and I must admit he really needs to take some time out to do some of his own stuff. Get away more and be with the boys. I mean his big boys... his mates. I think that is his one and only New Year's Resolutions. LOL.
Me... wow big year. Lots happened and I met so many fantastic people during the year. Right here, right now.... I *heart* my life. I am in a good place and I hope that 2007 continues to shine on us and everyone out there that comes to visit.
Thank you for stopping by my little part of cyberspace and listening to me ramble on about life in general and of course puttting up with my obsession with scrapbooking. LOL.
This year especially I have made some amazing friends. People that without this thing we call scrapbooking and the internet would never have been possible. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for being a part of my life during 2006. I can't wait to see what 2007 has in store for us all.

Chilling out....

Well here I am December 30th just chilling out.... drinking Midori Splices and eating chocolate spiders. Stay tuned blog readers.... just needed a break from here. Will be back to our regular scheduled program very soon. Love me. xoxox

Look what Santa bought me....

Ok so Santa has been VERY VERY good to me this Christmas. Most Christmases I spoil the boys rotten and usually end up with just a DVD or CD or something like that. After all... Christmas is all about the kids. But this Christmas my DH took it upon himself to treat me to one of these babies!! I could not believe it. My very own IPod.... and a video one at that. Woooo hooooo!!!!!! Now I know that this will be the next 10 years worth of Christmas and birthday presents. I have spent the last couple of days putting all my CDs onto it, downloading podcasts and just having heaps of fun.

Christmas wrap up....

Well here we are December 27th and Christmas is over for another year! Can you believe how much hype there is about it... only to have it gone in the blink of an eye. We had an amazing Christmas. We headed over to Wagga on Christmas Eve to spend Christmas with Nanny Woodside, Grandad and Aunty Kimmy. What made it even more special was that my Mum n Dad as well as Nanny Jan, Norm and Cameron came as well. It was a house full of people that's for sure! But I love it like that. Actually my Mum was telling a story about a Christmas that she had as a child where there were over 50 of them! Now that is cool and I would love to have been there. They had to set up tables outside. Way cool.
Christmas Eve was fairly quiet and the boys so did not want to go to sleep. I think Jack finally dozed off about 11pm!!! They were not up too early probably about 7am or so. Santa had been and left Ben Harry Potter Lego and Jack got Dr Who stuff. Both boys were pretty pleased with their stash of stuff. Presents we did later on in the morning when everyone was there. (Tomorrow I will share with you my present that Santa got me!!!)
Then one of my favourite parts of the day... the Food!!! LOL. Ok so I just love food in general but Christmas Day is definately the day to put your diets aside and splurge out. Lots of yummy food!
Of course there is always the afternoon nap on Christmas Day. Ok so maybe it was just me who fell asleep on the couch for a couple of hours.....
All in all we had a great time. We had to head back home here as Andrew had to work today. The boys have stayed in Wagga and don't come home until 4th January!! A nice long break for both us and them.

It has been a very busy day and this has been the first chance I have had to update. The boys were not up too early. Santa stopped by with Harry Potter lego for Ben and Dr Who stuff for Jack. It has been such a wonderful day spent with family. I promise photos to come in the next couple of days. Hoping that you have all had a magical day. Merry Christmas. xoxo

2 more sleeps....

Can you believe that it is only 2 more sleeps until Christmas??? Definately freaking me out like you wouldn't believe. The last couple of days have been pretty busy. The boys last day at school was on Thursday. So yesterday afternoon we headed off to the pub for a Christmas get together with a group of Mum's from school. There were about 30 or so of us including Mums and children. It was heaps of fun. The Robin Hood is a fantastic place to take the kids to have a meal. They have this great playground and the kids just love it. A lazy Friday afternoon. Then it was off to battle the shops for one last time. Surprisingly it took like 5 minutes to find a park, there were only like about 5 people at the Post Office and we were done in no time flat. Last night we had a Christmas dinner thing at a friends place. There were 8 adults and 10 kids. Lots of food, fun and plenty of laughter. I am never going to look at Rosie the rabbit quite the same way again. ;)    Today we took the boys to the movies to see Flushed Away. We loved it! Jack especially who has a WICKED sense of humour when it comes to pretty much anything. I thought he was going to wet himself he was laughing so hard. So this evening I am finishing off bits n pieces of scrapping projects for presents. Don't forget tomorrow I draw the winners of my calender and sticker RAK so last chance to post to the other thread. I will draw it probably early in the day because I just know that tomorrow is going to be another crazy day too!!

Create....

Yes it is only a few days to Christmas and yes I should be doing lots of other stuff except scrapping .... LOL. But I have had this CJ of Nic's for weeks. (Sorry girl it has taken me so long... except I bet that this CJ is the last thing on your mind right now. ROFLMAO!!) This CJ is from the Rainbow Journal that I started awhile ago. Nic's colour was blue. As soon as I got the CJ I knew what I was going to do. One of my favourite songs ever is by Tim McGraw - When The Stars Go Blue and I knew that this was going to be the theme for page. LHS of the page has a photo of Tim that I downloaded off the net. (YUMMO!!) Bazzill cardstock, Rusty Pickle PP, HS tape, MOD buttons and some ribbon. LHS of the page has a mini cd in the pocket which has the song burnt onto it! I love this idea and have used it a couple of times. Hope you like my creation. (Oh and yes THAT song is playing right now over   <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< there)

HO HO HO.... it's RAK time....

Ok so fess up.... who has NOT finished their Christmas shopping yet??? Who is still going to be there on Christmas Eve trying to get that last minute present?? LOL. This year I told myself I would be good and get it all done before December. Well... ummm ok so I didn't... but only have 1 present to get which I will be getting tomorrow and then I am officially done! Woooo hooooo!!!!!
I have been on the hunt for some more of those calenders like the one that I did for my Mum. After ringing stores everywhere I finally tracked some down in the next town. A friend from work is picking them up for me. But then get this... go back into the Reject Shop here in town and low and behold they are back in stock today. Like what the?? I am sure they were stashing them out the back until I was running around like a headless chook looking for them. LOL. So anyway I picked up a couple more today. What I have decided to do is that I would love to RAK one as my Christmas gift to my blog readers. So if you post on this thread; on Christmas Eve I will randomly pick a winner whom I will scrap their very own calender using a photo of your choice!
I also have some really cool label stickers that I came across the other day. (once again trying to track these calenders down) There is this little cheapy store in town that sells all sorts of bits n pieces. Well I came across these labels in all different sizes. Each packet contained 10 sheets of the same label. So I ended up buying 2 packets of each one and have ended up with ... well lots and lots of labels. LOL. So I have split up some of the packs and are also offering them as a RAK. There are 5 different types of labels in each set and 5 sets are up for grabs.

Creating Garden....

WOW already time for another Creating Garden at 2peas. Some of my favourites include:

• Celebrate 35 - Anne - I always have problems mixing and matching PP but love how Anne has this month.
• Why I Love Christmas - Amy- I love white backgrounds and I love her handwriting.
• Our Bina - Emily- Em just continues to amaze me with her creations.
• Play Ball - Shannon - love the chipboard, love the colours, love the handwriting.
• Merry and Bright - Emily- too cute!
• Soft Side - Anne - this one really jumped out at me from the gallery. I think it is the mix of such bright colours against the Kraft background. Love it.
